CRS is a 100% privately held, management-owned corporation founded in 2004 to address a growing need in a variety of resource usage intensive sectors (utility and non-utility) for affordable measurement solutions and web-enabled software tools to collect, monitor and manage usage in real-time – with the objective of maximizing business efficiencies, reducing costs and preserving our environment.

Since 2004, CRS has experienced extraordinary growth in both profitability and assets under management.  In the electricity sector alone, CRS currently manages over 680 Megawatts of demand response resources at more than 1,500 end use customer facilities – the equivalent of a medium-size power plant! CRS revenues have grown by more than 400% since 2005. Our year-to-year growth rate in assets under management and our profitability since Q2 of our inception is a strong indicator of our financial stability, vendor viability and staying power. CRS management prudently manages its cost structure for the benefit of our customers.

As a Clean Tech company, our “Conservation Through Technology” approach enables CRS to implement and support positive environmental impact initiatives and programs on behalf of our customers.

  • In the electricity sector, continuous demand-side management and demand response during peak demand periods reduce the need to build major new transmission lines and/or additional power plants resulting in a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and the overall carbon footprint.
  • In the water resource sector, CRS technology enables customers to monitor usage in real-time and activate measures to conserve our vital and limited water resources.     
  • CRS Management recognized a lack of intuitive and easy-to-use application software in the marketplace that was readily adaptable to the unique business needs of each industry segment and customer. Conventional enterprise solutions were typically one size fits all, over-built relative to a customer's discreet needs, and intimidating for users.

In contrast, CRS takes a flexible customer-centric approach focusing on providing a service solution configurable to a customer's specifically defined business needs. This enables CRS to offer more affordable solutions to our customers since our customers only pay for the elements they truly need and use without over-paying for non-core add-ons or unnecessary bundled services.

CRS distinguishes itself by combining a variety of flexible measurement technologies and solution service choices with independent and objective advice and expertise. We can do this because we are neither a Market Participant nor a Meter Manufacturer.
